I wrote the other day about our new family values list. My brain is now full of ideas to turn these words into ‘art’ to hang someplace in our home. Maybe something like this canvas. I will post the finished product when I decide on one!

Our first value is to GLORIFY GOD. It’s very simple really; something my husband and I have always tried to do is ask, “In doing [insert activity here], am I bringing glory to God?” and “Am I pointing others towards Him?” I’m certainly not perfect at this (duh!) but it has become a rather helpful habit. Answering those questions helps me eliminate useless activities, and steers me from my “me” path full of things “I” want to achieve. This is something we really hope to pass on to our children in the future.

“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.” (Luke 10:27)
